Celtic animals

A selection of animals, many of which feature in ancient celtic carvings, carved on sandstone, York Stone or Honnister Green Slate. Some are painted in acrylic paint, sealed with a protective spray and are suitable for outside display.

Where Sandstone or York stone is used, it has been sourced from demolished buidings or tennements in the Greenock, Glasgow and Helensburgh areas of Scotland. Hnnister Green Slate is from a slate mine in the Lake District, Cumbria.

Please note: all real stone contains minor blemishes caused by Ironston, shell fragments or clay pockets which are caused by natural processes within the stone.
